Note:

Instructions:

1.1 Set up the IDE environment and MySQL environment.
1.2 Download Cocos2d-x, the development tool required for building the game.
1.3 Place the GoWork directory service at the end of your working directory.
1.4 Import the database by navigating to: GoWork \ Server \ SQL.
1.5 Run the file server from the directory: GoWork \ server \ src \ tools \ bin.
1.6 Modify the JSON configuration file in the bin directory of the server based on your network conditions. Make sure to change the IP cache and database password as needed. It's essential to confirm that all changes are correct before starting the server.
1.7 Start the server by following the steps in GoWork \ serverrun. There is a batch script already written to guide you. Begin by configuring the server database, then start the cache. If any issues arise, use ~ dpsg-1_ALL.bat for debugging.

If everything is configured correctly, the server should start without issues. You can then use the compiled server executable file to run the game.

Client:

  • Modify the server details in the file located at: CODE \ trunk \ client \ dpsg \ serverip.xml.
  • After modifying the server settings, build the game to generate APK (for Android) and IPK (for iOS) files.
  • Now your players can play the game live, with the game clients connected to the server, and you can build the game through Cocos2d-x.
